Privacy Policy

Techpam ("Techpam," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by [Techpam Inc. — legal entity name], is committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use Techpam.site, our related applications, and our social media management services (collectively, the "Service").

This Policy is intended to comply with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA") and, because Techpam is established in Quebec, the Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector ("Quebec Privacy Act," as amended by Law 25). By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.

1. Who Is Responsible for Your Personal Information

Techpam has designated a Privacy Officer, who is responsible for ensuring compliance with this Policy and applicable privacy laws, and who oversees requests, complaints, and questions regarding your personal information. You can reach our Privacy Officer using the contact details in Section 13.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identity and Contact Information: such as your name, email address, phone number, company name, and job title.
  • Account Data: login credentials, account preferences, team/role settings, and subscription details.
  • Usage Data: information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, log files, device identifiers, IP address, browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Social Media Data: when you connect a social media account through our secure authentication process (see Section 3), we may access and store certain content, metadata, and engagement metrics from that account — such as post content, scheduling data, follower counts, and analytics — strictly to the extent of the permissions ("scopes") you approve on the connected platform.
  • Payment Information: billing name, address, and transaction history. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processors; Techpam does not store full credit card numbers.
  • Communications: information you provide when you contact our support team, respond to surveys, or otherwise communicate with us.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: as described in Section 10.

3. How Social Media Account Data Is Collected

When you connect a social media account (such as Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, or YouTube) to Techpam, you are redirected to that platform's own official authorization screen, where you log in directly with that platform and approve the specific permissions Techpam is requesting. The platform then returns a secure authorization link to Techpam to validate the connection and issue us a limited, revocable access token.

We do not receive or store your social media account password. We only receive the data covered by the permissions you approve, and we use that data solely to provide the features you request (such as publishing content, retrieving analytics, or managing messages). Each connected platform's own privacy policy also applies to any data it processes independently of Techpam. If you connect a Google or YouTube account, our use of the resulting data additionally complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including publishing and scheduling content at your direction;
  • process payments, manage subscriptions, and send billing-related communications;
  • personalize your experience and provide analytics and reporting features;
  • communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support requests;
  • improve, troubleshoot, and develop new features for the Service;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
  • comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

Where required under the Quebec Privacy Act or PIPEDA, we rely on your consent — express or implied depending on the sensitivity of the information — as the basis for these uses, and you may withdraw consent at any time as described in Section 8, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

5. Automated Decision-Making

Techpam does not currently make any decision based exclusively on automated processing of your personal information that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you (for example, automatically suspending an account without human review). If this changes, we will inform you at or before the time such a decision is made, disclose the personal information used and the main factors and parameters that led to the decision, and provide you with an opportunity to submit observations to a member of our staff, in accordance with the Quebec Privacy Act.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:

  • Service providers, such as cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, customer support tools, and payment processors, who process personal information on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it and use it only for the purposes we specify;
  • Connected social media platforms, only when you choose to connect them, and only to the extent necessary to provide the features you request;
  • Professional advisors and business partners, such as auditors, insurers, or in connection with a corporate transaction (e.g., a merger, acquisition, or financing), subject to appropriate confidentiality protections; and
  • Legal or regulatory authorities, where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Techpam, our users, or the public.

Where we share personal information with a service provider located outside Quebec or Canada, we do so under a written agreement requiring protections equivalent to those under Quebec and Canadian law, as described in Section 7.

7. International and Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your personal information may be stored or processed on servers located outside Quebec or Canada, including in the United States, by us or by our service providers. Before transferring personal information outside Quebec, we conduct an assessment of the factors relevant to that transfer, including the sensitivity of the information, the purposes for which it will be used, the protective measures in place, and the legal framework applicable in the destination jurisdiction, and we only proceed with transfers that provide a level of protection that is equivalent to that afforded under Quebec law. Where required, such transfers are governed by contractual clauses imposing appropriate safeguards on the recipient.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law and certain exceptions, you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated personal information;
  • withdraw your consent to certain processing activities, subject to legal or contractual restrictions;
  • request the deletion, de-indexing, or anonymization of personal information in certain circumstances;
  • receive a copy of certain personal information you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and portable technology format ("data portability"); and
  • opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us directly.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the time limits prescribed by applicable law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) or, for matters governed by PIPEDA, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC).

9. Data Retention and Destruction

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When personal information is no longer necessary for these purposes, we securely destroy, delete, or anonymize it in accordance with our internal data retention practices.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and, where applicable, support advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Service. Where required by law, we will request your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device.

11. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure hosting infrastructure, and role-based access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Data Breach Notification

If we become aware of a confidentiality incident involving personal information that presents a risk of serious injury, we will take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of harm, notify the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, and notify affected individuals, in accordance with the Quebec Privacy Act. We maintain an internal incident register as required by applicable law.

13. Contact Us / Privacy Officer

Techpam — Office of the Privacy Officer 1235 Rue Notre Dame O Montreal, QC H3C 0B1 Email: privacy@techpam.site

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact:

14. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, individuals under the age of majority in their province or territory of residence, consistent with the eligibility requirements in our Terms of Service. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a minor without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, our Service, or legal requirements. We will post any updates on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, will provide reasonable advance notice, such as by email or an in-product notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised Policy.
